It all began with a picture of a heron in Morro Bay. The first print and the realization that a hobby could be something more. The focus and subjects may have changed, but idea to put beautiful and affordable art on as many walls as possible will always be the backbone of Ockenfoto.

Every place has a unique way to be seen and captured. Every person, despite what insecurities they may have, is capable of being on a magazine cover. Every event has the potential to be a day or night to remember. After five years of learning how to use a camera in any scenario, the focus became connecting with people to help them believe that. From a homebody, communicating with people went from inorganic to the biggest strength. Strangers became best friends. Friends became real models or even wedding day clients.
